Vibrant and dynamic, old-growth forests are very special sites providing pure water, deep rich soils, varied habitats, biodiversity protection, and human enjoyment. Rapidly disappearing, these forests are becoming increasingly rare. The 500-Year Forest Foundation is offsetting this loss by working in partnership with forest owners to produce future old-growth forests.
